I'm 4 Months Old!

Hi all,

So much action in the last few weeks! Most notably, I turned 4 months old!

I graduated to the big girl stroller seat, which was a huge relief because mom finally got the message that if we didn't ditch the car seat, I was going to jump out.  Here's me having the BEST TIME EVER in my stroller (the truth is, my mom was making me laugh.  She is hilarious)!!

I went for my four month doctors appointment last week.  I got shot up with all sorts of viruses and had a mental breakdown, as anyone in my diaper would have.  The GREAT news is that I am now 14 lbs, which puts me back in the 50th percentile for weight, which is where I started!  I'm also in the 90th percentile for height, so if you need help reaching something on a high shelf, you know who to call.

The doctor said that I could try 'tastes' of food, so Daddy gave me a taste of his smoothie.  I was smiling to be polite; I really don't see why anyone would like food better than milk.

I have been enjoying my toys much more, and spend most of my time trying to put them in my mouth.

I also took my first subway ride this month!!! I LOVED it.

I've been getting the feeling that people are watching me lately.  I haven't quite figured out what's going on, but I'm becoming more vigilant...

 I'm nurturing some more high brow hobbies like reading...

and playing the piano.

We took a little vacation down to Florida.  Here is me at the airport having fun in the baby bjorn or as we call it-- the front loader.

Here are some shots of me having fun in the sun shade.  I also loved putting my feet in the sand and swimming in the pool.  (Even though I look entirely unimpressed in the pool pics, it was definitely awesome and I can't wait to start swimming laps).

 As you know, I like to sneak in some TV time when I can get it.  Here we are watching some tennis with the boys.

16 Weeks

Hi all,

I've been a busy little girl!  I'll fill you in...

Last weekend, I went to Skytop to meet my Great Grandma.  I got to see my Grandma Tracy and Great Aunts Lindsey and Jackie, as well!  What a special trip.

Sunday was Father's Day.  Dad and Papa treated themselves to a round of golf.  If I haven't already made myself abundantly clear by constantly rolling over, standing at any chance I get, and doing acrobatics in my stroller, I wanted these guys to know that I am serious about sports.  I got my daddy a set of balls (baseball, football, soccer ball, basketball) that we can play with as soon as i figure out how to grab things.  I even picked up a set of golf clubs so that Papa can teach me to golf the way he taught my mom.

I've also upgraded my ride; I've been spending lots of time in the "front loader" as Dad likes to call it.  Finally, I can look around and be eye level with my peers (adults)!  Strollers are for babies.

I've been spending a lot of time practicing some new tricks.  I know it's hard to believe, but I have a LOT to say!

Mommy was giving me a bath the other night, and she heard something that was music to hear ears.  Giggles!!!!!!!

Now that the weather is nice, me and mom spend lots of time outside.  Here's me on our big blanket in the shade the other day:

As a sidenote, I think mom is going to need medical attention when we can't play together all day every day.  We have been having so much fun!!

Who's Your Daddy?

Hi everyone!  

Greetings from my 15th week of life.  I am really starting to become a little person.  I am obsessed with rolling over.  Mom messed up and posted the wrong video of me last time; that was just a warm up.  Now I roll over everywhere!

I still love bathtime, which is where I was en route to in the previous video.

Mom and I took a field trip to Google!  Everyone thought I was super cute, and loved my bow.  I was delighted with our outing; Google has so many friendly faces and colorful things to look at!  I couldn't even take my eyes off the Google sign to pose for the picture. (Please forgive the state of our stroller.  It is a hot mess and looks like a total jalopy at all times).

Grandpa, Kathy and Maddie came to visit this weekend.  I don't have any pics to post with them yet, but stay tuned for some great shots!  Here is me with daddy in my pretty dress that I wore to meet them.

I also got my three month shots a few weeks ago. Don't ask which ones because mom has no clue; I am starting to notice that she is not really a 'details' person (about certain things.  Like my health).  I weighed in at 12 lbs, which puts me in the 28th percentile for weight.  I'm in the 67th percentile for height though- a race to nowhere, mom likes to say.  I cried my head off when they stuck those needles into my chicken legs, and I was so upset that I think mom may have cried for a second, too.  Mostly she was just sweating and trying to dress me as quickly as possible, which is why I showed up at my playdate with no pants on.

Ever since I decided to use my stroller as an ejector seat, mom has been taking me places in the carrier.  I love it!  

I am SO EXCITED to meet my great-grandma this weekend, and see Grandma and my other family!  

It's also father's day, so a special shout out to my daddy--- love you, twinsie!!!  And Papa and Grandpa.  Love you guys!

Three Months Old!

Hi Everyone,

I am three months old today!  Time flies when you're a baby, and you rotate between three thoughts:

"I like this"
"I don't like this"
"What is this???"


I'm still working on my naps; they are happening all over the place.

Much to my mother's concern, I love watching TV!

The big news this week is that I rolled over.  Check out the dramatic footage of my first voyage from my back to my tummy below.

Busy May!

Hi everyone,

I am now 12 weeks old, and have been very busy, so please forgive my delay in posting.

Did you hear that we moved? Same building, different apartment (Apt 12A for those of you keeping track of me).  It's been GREAT.  I have my own room with a wall that goes all the way to the ceiling.  Now mom and dad don't have to eat dinner with the lights out, and I can finally get some privacy.

I had my two month doctors appointment  a few weeks ago. I got my shots and got weighed and measured.  The doctor says I'm long and lean, which I suspect will be one of the last times that I hear these words in reference to my frame (specifically "long").  I think all the kicking that I do during bathtime and while I'm watching my mobile is keeping me trim, no matter how much milk I drink!

When I'm not exercising, I'm usually in one of the following places:

My bumbo seat

My bouncer (old faithful)

My swing!

My stroller:

Here is me having a complete mental breakdown while trying to stand up and possibly jump out of the stroller just yesterday.  What a great day that was for mom.  Shortly after this picture was taken, she carried me for 30 minutes until we got home.

Mom also had her first Mother's Day!  Mimi and Papa came over and mom wore her gym clothes all day and didn't shower until I went to bed.  Certainly not her most glamorous day, but she says that every day with me is special.  (Except the days I don't nap and cry alot.  I think those days might be special for a different reason).  This picture is totally horrifying of both of us (and Tiger doesn't look his best) but it was our mother's day:

In honor of #TBT (Throw-back Thursday), here is a picture of me when I was just a few days old.  I'll say what all of you are thinking----- my hair was really struggling.  Hopefully now that I have a great style going we can get past this bad hair portion of my life!

2 Months Old!

Hi everyone!

I am two months old and loving my busy life!

We had a great time in Florida.  I am not ready to soak up the sun quite yet, so instead I played with MiMi, Papa and Uncle Tim (and of course, Mom and Dad).  One day when the weather wasn't nice, MiMi, Mom and I went shopping!  I gave them an early mothers day gift by napping while they did what they do best, and woke up just in time to check out my new favorite store, Lilly Pulitzer!  The colors and patterns were so fun to look at!

Here are some of my favorite/least favorite things these days:

I love my mobile!  Before I turned two months, mom used to put me in there and I would stare at the bars on my crib or the wall.  Now that I'm a big girl, I can appreciate the awesomeness that is my mobile.  Sometimes I'll stay in there for 20 minutes laughing and kicking!

Bathtime continues to be a bright spot in my day!

Naptime continues to be a battle.  I don't like to nap- you just miss too much action.  I really prefer to be in my stroller or the car, though sometimes when mom peeps in the stroller I like to give her one of these looks to remind her that I'm still part of the action:
