First Trip to Florida!

Hello everyone!

This week, I took my first plane ride to Florida!

Everyone my parents talk to wants to know:  "How did Gillian do on the flight?" Well, I'm here to say that I did GREAT- obviously.  Was there ever any doubt?

I was a little sleepy, so I napped from the minute we got in the car until I got on the plane, when I was rudely awakened and removed from my carseat.  I'm particularly happy that I slept through security; my stroller got stuck in the x ray machine- don't ask me how.  My parents pretended that it didn't belong to them and tried not to make eye contact with anyone on line behind them.

Here's me at the gate in my special cocoon that my mom hopes keep the germs away:

And here is me on the plane!!  I stayed awake the ENTIRE flight.  Anytime I made a peep, I got some nice warm milk, which always made me pretty happy.  I did, of course, demand to see everything on the entire plane, so mom and dad took turns walking me around. Fun!

Florida has been great so far.  My grandparents are AMAZED at my ability to stay awake for hours on end.  I hate napping and have been doing my best to stay up past my bedtime :)  fun!  Here are some family pictures.

 Me and my twinsie!

How great is my outfit here?

My parents decided that I deserved another shot at going out to dinner.  We went to this little pizza place where we could sit outside.  Here is me at dinner:

And here are my parents!

More soon!

Love,
Gillian

Hi everyone!

This week I took my first ROAD TRIP to Newport, RI, for Devin and Michelle's Wedding! My Grandma Tracy came to stay with me, and she did a great jobentertaining me while Mom and Dad were at the wedding.  Here are some pics from our trip:

 The McGoldricks!
Mom and Dad capturing a photo opp without me.  Not very nice of them.

The boys and Michelle!

Me and Grandma

Me, after a long weekend in Newport.

I am also starting to smile a lot, much to the endless joy of my parents.  My mom just follows me around with a camera; it's getting a little old, but I try to humor her.  Here are some of the smiles they were able to capture this week:

Grandma Tracy took this one and sent it to Mom and Dad during the wedding.  Mom said she almost had to come back to the room to hug me when she saw this!

Finally, I got to see Papa George.  We went to Stateline Diner, which I am told is an important NJ Landmark (similar to the importance of Garden State Plaza).  I LOVED looking around!

I'm off to Florida to see Mimi, Papa George and Uncle Tim.  We'll see how the plane ride goes; I'll tell you ALL about it next time!

Smiles,
Gillian

Hi everyone!

I am 6 weeks old and now that I'm a big girl, I get to do lots of fun stuff.  Last week, my mom and I went and stayed at Mimi's for a few days in NJ.  I love her house because it has magical wooden blinds that I could stare at all day long! I also took my first trip to the mall; it was fabulous!

Here a few other highlights:

Mom and Dad are trying to get me to nap in places other than the stroller and their arms.  Here is a new spot for me:

For those of you that have been with me since the beginning of this blog, you'll recall that I did NOT enjoy bathtime.  Now look at me!!

This is my bouncer seat that I am learning to like because I can sit up and look out at the world.  As many of you know, I like to be part of the action.  It also has the under-marketed effect of helping to  get my 'system' moving, if you know what I mean.

i

Dad had to go to work while I got to stay home and watch The Masters.  What a sap!

My buddy, Frankie, even came over on Sunday wearing his Masters shirt!  I was not too thrilled to be posing for this picture.

My Great Aunt Carol sent me these awesome glasses that are clearly still a bit too big, but I love them anyway!

Mom and Dad tried to take me out to dinner with them.  They magically thought I would fall asleep in my stroller at 6pm -- or better yet-- sit quietly and entertain myself while they enjoyed a nice dinner.  HA!

One thing I was pretty good at was Mini Golf.  Unfortunately, this wasn't true for Dad...

Big hugs,
Gillian

I'm a month old!

Happy birthday to me!  Yesterday, I turned a month old.  It flew!

It feels like just yesterday that I got home from the hospital and was learning all about my new home.  Now I know this place like the back of my hand.  Sometimes, when I feel like being entertained (every day at 5pm), mom walks me around the joint, and I have a few favorite spots:

  • The kitchen: I don't get to go in here alot but there are some interesting lights that I like
  • The bathroom: This is like Disney World!  Between the lights and the running water, I can be entertained here for at least 7 minutes before I request (via some crying) to move on to my new favorite spot...
  • The bedroom closet: I cannot believe I didn't discover this place sooner.  Do you know how many patterns there are to look at here?
  • My changing table: I only like this spot when I'm feeling Zen; I can stare off into space for a good few minutes!
Here are some pics from my "Month 1" photo shoot.  As you can see, I am starting to look a lot like my mom.  JUST KIDDING!

I also feel really lucky because I've had so many special visitors this month.  My parents have great taste in friends and family.

Here's a shot of my Uncle Chris getting some diaper training:

I also had a visit from my grandparents and Aunt Maddie and Uncle Ried this weekend.  Aunt Maddie can babysit anytime!!
