My first Christmas happened in our apartment on the 21st of December, when all of my Tully grandparents, aunts and uncles came to visit! We had so much fun, and I was so happy to see everyone. It really felt like Christmas... maybe because I got so many great gifts! Here's me surrounded by all of my new toys and clothes:
Then, we made the voyage down to Florida to spend some time with Mimi, papa and Uncle Tim. One of my favorite new toys is this walker:
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy 2014! I'll send some Florida pics soon!
I have been crawling and pulling myself up to stand like it's my job. I will grab onto anything and hoist myself up: cribs, dishwashers, bathtub ledges, body parts, sharp things that my parents should childproof, but haven't, etc. We celebrated Mom and Mimi's birthday with a 5pm dinner reservation a few weeks ago. I also made my first voyage to Boston for Thanksgiving, where I got to visit my grandparents' houses for the first time!
I loved playing the piano, and thankfully, it looks like the apple has fallen very far from the tree when it comes to inheriting my mother's lackluster piano skills.
I LOVED pressing my face up against the glass of Grandma's front door. I'll be getting her some windex for Christmas.
This little house thing was pretty nifty; I loved crawling through the front door, stopping to read some books, and crawling back.
On a slightly more traumatic note, MIMI had the great idea to give me a lemon the other day. I'll let the video speak for itself, but I'm pretty sure I'll be talking to my therapist about this in thirty years.
Overall, life is pretty good. I love books, standing, drinking from my water bottle, cheese and fruit. I don't like sitting still, being chained into my high chair, or lemons.
Here is a link to all of my pics, and I'll post the link to Shutterfly later!
What a great month! I have to tell you, it's been off to the races since I got my crawling legs. I love exploring the apartment, and the sound of my little palms slapping the floor as I roam around, calling out "mamamama" is music to mama's ears.
When I'm not crawling around, I can be seen flipping through some of my books. I love to read out loud!
Here is another new trick that I picked up this month:
I am officially 8 months old! I've wrapped up a very busy month.
First, my first Halloween went off without a hitch. I got all dressed up, and me, mom and Rosenda went to Twitter to celebrate!
Here's me having some fun with the mardi gras beads...
Family photo!
Group pic- this was a little chaotic for me.
Okay, I'm tired, take me home.
Here are some pics from my photo shoot, which we did by Mimi's house! Here is a link to the full album (don't mind the random girl in these pics it's too complicated to explain).
Here's me and dada right after we were on the swings by our apt!
Here is me and my friend Max...
Clearly we've come a long way from our first play date when I was trying to rip the hair off of his head.
With the big 8 months right around the corner, I decided it was time to get serious about getting mobile. Without further ado, here is are some of my first moves:
You don't crawl three feet without putting the work in, and let me tell you, I've been working! Mostly, I've been carb loading and trying to increase my protein intake. I have an insatiable appetite, and have been working my way through cheese, pureed chickpeas and rosemary, white bean soup, asparagus, pears, peaches, apples, ground turkey with diced tomatoes... the list goes on. Mom says I'm eating her out of house and home!
We've really been stepping up the fun factor, lately. I love getting blow outs- those are a real hoot!
Mom loves to make me giggle. I tell you what, between you and me...that lady is a real comedian! I mean, realllllly funny. Definitely funnier than dada. See?
Where's mama? I think she's under this high chair.... somewhere...
There is a little too much jiggling in this video for mom's taste, but was this a fun game or what?
What is mom doing that's so funny in this video? you'll never know!!!
Tomorrow is halloween! Thanks to my sista from another motha, Sam, I'll be outfitted in the most stylish Halloween apparel out there. Stay tuned!
Hope you are all doing well! I'm doing great and have been having a great October. Last weekend, mama, dada and I took a trip to the Berkshires to celebrate Grandma (Tracy's) 60th birthday at Jiminy Peak. It was so fun to see Grandma, GG, and all my aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, and all of my second cousins (I think that's what they are called)!
I had a great time playing with toys and napping in the car, so the journey was no big deal. Here are a bunch of pictures from the weekend:
In other news, I'm getting to be pretty independent. I hold my own bottle- my parents can no longer be trusted to do this. Sometimes I one-hand it- just because I can. I can walk around if someone is holding me, and while I'm not that interested in crawling, my new trick is to slither backwards until I'm stuck under the couch.
It's getting a little chilly; I've been bundling up for the morning runs!
Hope everyone has a great week! Grandpa is coming to visit this weekend. It's not easy being so popular.
Hope everyone had a great month; I sure did! And boy, did it fly by.
So far, I've been a great eater! I like yogurt, applesauce, peaches, sweet potatoes, pastina and I don't really mind peas and zucchini (working on improving my greens).
My mobile has become an entertainment center. I like to press all the buttons and change the music when left to play by myself!
I've started babbling, and I like to say mamamama and dadaada. Excuse the dark footage:
Hope everyone had a great month- talk to you soon!
Love,
Gillian

I had a big birthday this weekend: I turned 6 months old on Monday!
The day started off a little weird. Mom took me out of my crib and sat in my chair with me while she cried and rambled about how I was her little doll angel, I'm getting so big, next thing she knows I'll be in school, driving, etc. It was a little awkward but I threw her a quick cuddle so we could move along to my bottle, which was just off in the distance waiting for me!
Other than that, we had a great weekend with a few milestones:
REAL FOOD!
SWINGING!!
I also had to face the scale (as well as 3 needles) on Tuesday at my doctors appointment. I weigh a whopping 16lbs 13oz, which puts me in the 65th percentile for weight. I have a giant dome (thanks Tullys!) and am starting to "even out" in terms of height (55th percentile).
Another momentous event happened this weekend: my new friend Elsie Kay Ramadan joined the world! I hear that she's a delight and I can't wait to play with her. Congrats to her mommy and daddy; we love you guys! Here's Elsie; isn't she so cute?!?
Finally, mom created an email address for me: gillianrtully@gmail.com. Mom created it to send me notes about how great I am and all of the cool stuff that I'm accomplishing. She wanted me to share it with all of you just incase you were ever inclined to send a note. No one will read the emails, and someday when I'm a big girl, I'll log into my email and have a bunch of notes from people who love me. Pretty cool, right?
Here is a link to my six month photoshoot, and here is where pics of yours truly are available for purchase!
Hope everyone is doing well and has a great long weekend planned!
I hate to brag, but I'm really doing great.
I'm a pretty good night sleeper (still getting up entirely too early but more about that later)
I only complain when my parents are starving me or I'm very tired. Or I'm constrained in a carseat for an unreasonable amount of time.
I like to talk! Babababababa is my go-to, but this will expand over time.
I've also become a super sitter! Here the most uneventful 66 second video you will ever see. I'm going to ruin the ending by telling you that absolutely nothing happens except that I sit.
I'm starting to play with my toys, with the average attention span of about 30 seconds.
I love books and magazines, and have been very focused on catching up on fall fashions. I don't have enough leather in my wardrobe to consider myself a true fashionista, but I'm setting trends in my own way. I promise that I wear more than just pajamas, for those of you concerned that my wardrobe is very limited, based on this post.
Here's me devouring (literally) In Style, and playing with my new favorite toy, a toothbrush. I like to rip out the pages, ball them up and eat them before anyone can catch me.
Here is something that many of you may not know about me! I like to rise with the roosters, somewhere between 5-6am. Lots of times I fall back asleep, but when I don't, mom and I usually hit the road and go for a jog.
Note the sun rising in this photograph. Yay!
I'm almost 6 months old, so get excited for my upcoming photo shoot. I have a blowout scheduled for Sunday night, but I'm unclear (and slightly concerned) about what my outfit will be. I'll also include some general stats about me.
Greetings from God's Kingdom, of which I am officially a member (I've got the baptism certificate to prove it)!
Today was a pretty exciting day for me, and I was so lucky to have my family there to support me as a strange man poured water on my head and dabbed oil in my hair. I'm especially thankful for my awesome godparents, Aunt Shannon and Uncle Tim!
If you guys like my outfit, please thank my Mimi... this is what my mom wore to her baptism many years ago! I even have a pendant on that Mimi wore at her own baptism. I'm a real historian today!
Here is a link to all the pictures. Big thanks to Uncle Chris for being such an awesome photographer!
Things have been going great in my world. I turned 5 months old this week- can you believe it? No major updates other than Mom going back to work last week. I'd say it was a little touch and go for her, at first, but she seems to be doing well! I know she's thankful for her Google family for making her feel so welcome. I miss her but love Rosenda, who is my new buddy.
Onto a more exciting topic: ME! I am up to some great stuff:
I am still loving my exersaucer:
I LOVE FOOD. Here is some amazing footage of me sampling guacamole.
Here's me with my homies, mom, dad and Rosenda!
In general, I am pretty fun to be around, if I do say so myself! Here is a link to all the pics from my fifth month, and here is where you can buy them!
